Dog / Cat / Small Pet Sitting

Dogs

Dog Sitting..! A great alternative pet care, allowing your pet to stay in his or her own comfortable surroundings, reducing the stress of other types of boarding. This works on a visit basis and is not a live in service.

As a member of N.A.R.P I am not permitted to Pet Sit your dog, unless you can arrange to have a friend or relative to stay in the house over night; as the time between my last visit of the day and the first in the morning, would be too long for your dog's comfort.

This being the case, I will make up to 3 visits per day, more by special agreement. Your dogs will be fed in accordance to their normal every day diets. Whatever that may be. Feeding utensils will be washed after each meal, water bowls replenished on each visit. Exercise shall be provided at the normal dog walking rate (for the area you live in), at the owners request. Long haired breeds can be groomed by request, charged in accordance to the breed (Afghan Hounds, a speciality). Areas where the dog is confined will be cleaned and disenfected , should indiscretions occur. Bedding will also be changed if fresh is made available. I shall where possible amuse and play with your dog to keep his mind active and sit with him for a little longer if he appears to be missing his owners. If your dog should refuse to eat in your absence, I will endeavour to feed him / her by hand, until ready to do so itself. Nothing is too much trouble, even down to a tickle on the tum...! (The dog's.....of course..!) If your dog appears to be unwell, then he / she will be taken to his usuall veterinary practice on your behalf. In case this should happen, you will need to inform your Vet that I will be acting on your behalf and you will need to make special arrangments to pay him on your return home. All emergency details must be given to your sitter during the Consultaion visit. Your dogs vaccinations must be up to date and I would be very grateful if you could have the relevant certificates ready for me to check at the time of your consultation visit. 

 

Cats

Pet Sitting..! A great alternative pet care, allowing your pet to stay in his own comfortable surroundings, reducing the stress of other types of boarding.  This also works on a visit basis, with up to three visits per day according to owners preference. Your cats will be fed in accordance to their every day diets, whatever that may be. Feeding utensils will be washed after every meal. Litter trays will be cleaned on each visit. Any spills tidied and disinfected. Bedding will be changed, if fresh is made available. If your cat likes to bring home trophies, where allowed free access to the garden, these will be removed and disposed of if found inside the house. I shall where possible, pamper and play with your cat if he / she appears to be missing you.  If your cat is not eating, I shall endeavour to feed him / her by hand until able to do so naturally. If your cat appears to be unwell, then he / she will be taken to his / her usuall veterinary practice on your behalf. In case this should happen,you will need to inform your Vet that I will be acting on your behalf and you will need to make special arrangments to pay him on your return home. All emergency details must be given to your sitter during the Consultaion visit. Your cats vaccinations must be up to date, I would be very grateful if you could have the relevant certificates ready for me to check at the time of your consultation visit. If you wish, your pet can be posted in the 'Your Pets Gallery' feature on this site.  Inevitably you will be missing your much loved pet while you are away, this will keep you both intouch. 

Your cat could soon be as content as Clyde, whilst her owners were away.

 

Small Animals & Birds

Cost effective, when small animals are visited in conjunction with a dog or cat. Your pets will be fed in accordance to their every day diets. Hutches / cages will be cleaned as and when necessary. Feeding bowls, water bottles etc, will be washed on every visit where access to your house or out door water outlets are made accessible. If your pet appears to be unwell, then he / she will be taken to his / her usuall veterinary practice on your behalf. In case this should happen, you will need to inform your Vet that I will be acting on your behalf and you will need make special arrangments to pay him on your return home. All emergency details must be given to your sitter during the Consultaion Visit.
